New box games
« on: July 04, 2003, 06:21:02 PM »
This week I saw for the first time TWO new game show box games in local stores.  Password Junior, and Simpsons edition Jeopardy!

Password Junior is designed very similar to original Password (which will have a fourth edition out soon!), only there's no scoring sheets, and multi-word clues are allowed in this version.  Each time a word is correctly guessed, the player or team, keeps the card in a pile by them, and after eleven words are played, whoever has the most cards in their pile is the winner.

Simpsons Jeopardy!, as shown on box bottom illustration, uses similar contents as regular Jeopardy game, only the game board is YELLOW in color, and has a cardboard topper showing the Simpsons.  The dollar value slides are yellow with blue amounts for round 1, and red for round 2, and the amounts are printed in a neat font.  The \"Daily Double,\" card shows \"Daily Duble Double,\" with a line drawn through the \"Duble,\" and \"Doh,\" written next to it!

Speaking of Jeopardy! for play at home, a new version for the Sony Playstation2 is due out this fall.
